Teacher Workshop

Check out this automaton  (robotic doll) – It was built in London in 1810! It writes and draws.  Mrs. Buzzell is hoping to see this at the Franklin Institute in PA today!  Read about how an automaton works and watch a short video!

I highly recommend the novel “The Invention of Hugo Cabret” by Brian Selznick.  The book is based on the automaton in the FI museum!
