January 7 Update

Good afternoon,

We want to update you on the ongoing situation in our upstairs classroom wing. A pinhole in a coil has led to intermittent propylene glycol odors in parts of the building that began yesterday. While we address this, some teachers have requested to move their classes to alternative spaces until the pinhole issue is resolved and/or the odor dissipates.

We are working with the service company to expedite this process. Be assured that we are prioritizing the safety and well-being of all students and staff while we work toward a permanent solution in order to provide quality instruction and educational experiences despite the challenges. However, as each person’s tolerance varies if your child needs to be dismissed by the nurse, or must stay home due to the smell, the absence will be marked as excused. Please indicate this when you notify the school.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work through this and try to keep school open during this time. We’re committed to ensuring a safe and positive experience for every student. We count on your support and collaboration in order to achieve this.
