January 9 Follow-up

January 9 Follow-up

Good Afternoon,

Here are today’s most recent developments at Nottingham School:

This afternoon, we received reports of an unusual smell in the main hallway. Out of an abundance of caution, the Fire Department was called to investigate. Thankfully, the source of the smell was identified as tempera paint and clay being used for art in the elementary classrooms. Our sensitivity is certainly heightened, but we were very pleased with the discovery of wonderful projects!

Additionally, here are a few updates on our HVAC system:

Heating Units (moveable/mounted): Electricians have been onsite running wires throughout the day. The heating units are expected to be installed either late tomorrow afternoon or over the weekend. Once this is complete, we will be able to shut off the air handler with the pinhole, allowing middle school students and staff to return to their regular classrooms.

Coil Replacement: The new coil remains on schedule for installation over the MLK weekend.

Air Purifiers: The purifiers on loan from Raymond School District have been running since yesterday in the affected classrooms upstairs.

Updates will be given if there are any significant changes or further developments as we work to resolve this situation.  Continued thanks and appreciation for your collaboration.

Sincerely,

Ronna & Jeff
